Terms of Service

last updated 7 August 2026 applies to freerouter + the API sections 12

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FreeRouter website at freerouter.cloud and the FreeRouter API (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or sending a request to the API, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

01

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet that requirement and that the details you give us are accurate and current. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

02

Accounts & API keys

An account is created against a verified email address. You are responsible for keeping your login details and your API keys confidential, and for all activity carried out under your account.

importantTreat an API key like a password. Anyone holding it can call the API and spend your balance against your ceilings. Rotate a key immediately from the dashboard if you believe it has been exposed, and never embed one in client-side code or a public repository.

Tell us straight away through a dashboard support ticket if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend an account we believe has been compromised in order to limit further spend.

03

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Produce content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that promotes harm.
  • Infringe anyone else's intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Attempt to extract model weights, or to reverse-engineer or decompile the Service.
  • Run automated attacks, scraping, or denial-of-service activity against us or any third party.
  • Work around rate limits, spend ceilings, authentication, or any other access control.
  • Share, resell or sublicense your API access without our written permission.
  • Breach the acceptable-use policy of the underlying model provider.
  • Break any law or regulation that applies to you.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately where we believe these rules have been broken.

04

Access, limits & availability

Your plan sets a spend ceiling across two windows that run at the same time: a rolling five-hour window and a weekly window. Both are checked before a request is forwarded. When either ceiling is reached, further requests are refused until that window rolls forward.

Ceilings are not pooled across the month and unused headroom does not carry over. Your plan determines how much you may spend, not which models you may call — every paid plan reaches the full model line-up.

We aim to keep the Service available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Capacity, model availability and limits may change, and we may adjust them with reasonable notice. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practical.

05

Plans, billing & renewal

Paid plans are purchased in advance for a 30-day term and settled in cryptocurrency. There is no auto-renew and no payment method is stored on file — to continue past the end of a term you make a new payment yourself.

Access begins once payment is confirmed on-chain, which is usually quick but is not instant. When a term ends without renewal, the account returns to the Free plan; your history and dashboard stay available.

Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are, which remains your responsibility. We may change prices for future terms; a change never affects a term you have already paid for.

06

Refunds

Because each term is bought outright and usage begins immediately, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If you believe you were charged in error, or a fault on our side prevented you from using what you paid for, open a support ticket and we will look into it.

07

Third-party models

The Service routes your requests to models operated by third parties. Those models, and the rights in them, belong to their respective providers. Their availability, behaviour and pricing are outside our control and may change without notice to us.

Model output is generated automatically. It may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and it is not legal, medical, financial or professional advice. Verify anything you intend to rely on before acting on it.

08

Intellectual property

The FreeRouter name, the website, and the software running the Service belong to us. These Terms do not give you any right to use our name or branding.

As between you and us, the prompts you send and the output you receive are yours, subject to the terms of the underlying model provider. We do not claim ownership of them and we do not use your prompts or outputs to train models.

09

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular model will remain available.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.

10

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) USD $100.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or costs arising from decisions made on the basis of model output.

11

Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access where these Terms are broken, where we are required to by law, or where continuing would expose us or our providers to risk — with reasonable notice unless the situation calls for immediate action.

On termination your right to use the Service stops at once. Clauses that by their nature should continue — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability — survive.

12

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will give notice by email or a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the revised Terms.
